The Irecs research ethics cluster

The irecs Research Ethics Cluster fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing within the research community.

The cluster brings together representatives from irecs and other relevant projects and networks to discuss findings, share experiences, and collectively address ethical challenges in research. Together, we form a broader group of stakeholders focusing in research ethics. The irecs Research Ethics Cluster is an opportunity to learn from each other, to test and revise project results and outputs throughout all their stages, and hence to contribute to the sustainability of the participating projects, while providing a solid base for synergies that can be maintained after the end of the projects.

IRECS cluster members

The irecs Research Ethics Cluster includes 15 EU-funded projects and 5 networks that address issues related to research ethics and research integrity. Participating projects include new, mature and recently completed projects as well as relevant networks initiatives. Members were identified and invited to join the cluster via mapping exercise aimed at aligning irecs with existing initiatives. Over the course of the project, the cluster was further expanded to include additional projects specialising in the four key technology areas that irecs is studying.

irecs cluster activities

The cluster meets online every 2–3 months. Each of the meetings has a thematic focus and explores the potential overlaps among the participating projects and networks concerning their expected outcomes and activities. In this way, we learn from each other and build on each other's results.
